List of World’s Highest Paid Actors is Out. Number 5 is a Surprise
According to Forbes, the combined earning of the world’s top ten highest paid actors has amounted to over $740 Million which is a bit high than the last year’s total. While the there might not be a huge difference in the combined earning but surely there are quite a name and number in this year’s list of world’s highest paid actors that are going to shake you bit. Starting from low to high, here are the world’s top 10 highest paid actors according to Forbes for 2018.
10.) CHRIS EVANS ($34 MILLION)
Chris Evan is one of the three Avengers in this year’s list of highest paid actors in the world. Evan has been managed to bag $34 Million, thanks to the success of Avengers: Infinity War.
9.) SALMAN KHAN ($38.5 MILLION)
Bollywood star, Salman Khan earned $38.5 Million, making him gain the 9th highest paid actors in the world. His earning came from a movie and endorsement for Suzuki Motorcycles and Chlormint gum.
8.) ADAM SANDLER ($39.5 MILLION)
With his deal with Netflix, Adam Sandler was able to make earnings of $39.5 Million. He will be writing, directing, and starring in a series of comedies.
7.) AKSHAY KUMAR ($40.5 MILLION)
Another Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar has been able to make in this year’s highest paid actors’ list by earning $40.5 million for a couple of movies (Toilet and Padman) along with endorsement deals with Tata and Eveready.
6.) WILL SMITH ($42 MILLION)
Apart from starring in a Netflix’s movie “Bright”, bagging Genie’s role in Alladin (2019) and playing a cameo in Nicky Jam’s World Cup song “Live It Up”.
5.) JACKIE CHAN ($45.5 MILLION)
Really, age is just a number for Jackie. The 64-year old actor has done more films than anyone on the list in 2017. Jackie Chan appeared in a total of 6 movies in the year 2017 which included Kung Fu Yoga, The Nut Job 2 (voice only), The Lego Ninjago Movie (live action and voice role), The Foreigner, Bleeding Steel, and Namiya. All these movies along with endorsements made the 64-year old actor earn $45.5. Isn’t that a surprise?
4.) CHRIS HEMSWORTH ($64.5 MILLION)
The two blockbusters back to back (Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War) helped Chris Hemsworth take home a whopping $64.5 Million.
3.) ROBERT DOWNEY JR.
Robert Downey Jr. may not have been able to be the highest paid actor in the world for 2018, but surely he is the highest paid actors for Marvel. With his two movies (Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War), the Iron Man was able to take $81 Million, making him the 3rd highest paid actors in the world for 2018.
2.) DWAYNE “THE ROCK” JOHNSON
The former wrestler has been ranked the 2nd highest paid actor in the world, thanks to his recent films like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Rampage which made him earn $124 Million, almost double of his 2017 earnings.
1.) GEORGE CLOONEY ($239 Million)
Well Well Well, even after giving a flop show at the box office with Suburbicon, George Clooney has been able to fetch the first position in the world as the highest paid actor. And not just he aced this year’s list of world’s highest paid actor but has made one-third of the combined earning of 2018’s top 10 highest paid actors. Clooney has taken home an enormous $239 Million, credit to purchase of the Tequila Company, Casamigos.
