Riding on the success of the iconic McLaren F1, this limited edition hybrid supercar was introduced in October 2013 by British manufacturer McLaren Automotive for a price of $1.15 Million. There were a total of 375 McLaren P1 released. One Interesting fact about McLaren P1 is that that around 34% of these limited edition models were purchased by owners in the United States, and 26% in Europe. All 375 cars were sold out within one month of release.

Koenigsegg One is deemed as the “World’s first Mega Car” by the makers themselves. This $2 Million super luxury wears a 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine and produces 940 horsepower.

For Sesto Elemento, Lamborghini stated that this car will redefine the future of super sports cars. Well, it won be wrong to say that the company did what it said. Lamborghini Sesto Elemento made its debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. It’s a lightweight track-only car, and its name references the atomic number of carbon, in recognition of the widespread use of carbon fiber in the car.   1. Mercedes-AMG One – $2.5 Million

In order to celebrate their 50th birthday, the Mercedes Benz AMG decided to introduce a limited production of a new hybrid sports car. The AMG One was unveiled at the 2017 International Motor Show in Germany, having a 1.6-liter turbocharged 90-degree V6 engine, it produces a top speed of 217 mph. In order to keep the model’s exclusivity, the AMG One sold out only 275 units. No more cars of this model are going to be manufactured, said, Mercedes. As Lewis Hamilton helped Mercedes in developing this car, it wasn’t a surprise that the car was a quick “Sold Out”.

  1. La Ferrari FXX K – $2.7 million

Another Ferrari in the list is La Ferrari FXX K which is designed by Marco Fainello, Flavio Manzoni and architect Evan Rodriguez. Based on the road-legal LaFerrari, the FXX K is the company’s research and development vehicle, where K refers to the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) used for maximizing performance. There were a total of 40 cars produced between 2015 – 2017 that are being held and maintained by Ferrari. These are available for their owners to use on track days. The FXX K is completely capable of cruising at a top speed of 217 mph!

Manufactured by Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S., the Bugatti Chiron is a mid-engine supercar that was first unveiled at the Geneva motor show in 2016. In order to own one, buyers were requested to provide a $200,000 deposit. The first 200 units of Bugatti Chiron were sold out even before the delivery of the first car. The speed of the Chiron is electronically limited to 261 mph, or 233–236 mph without the key. Well, its speculated that its actual top speed could be around 281 mph.

This Ferrari masterwork was a tribute to the former chairman of the company and the legendary automotive designer, Sergio Pininfarina, who died just a year before. The design of this Ferrari was based on the 458 Spider. Only 6 of them were made and sold to a group of high net worth individuals.

On the 9th number of world’s most expensive car list is the $3.2 Million worth Aston Martin Valkyrie, which was a collaboration between the manufacturers – British automobile manufacturer Aston Martin teamed up with Red Bull Racing and numerous other manufacturers to bring this beast into the auto world. Valkyrie was developed as a track-oriented road car, which at present holds the title for being the fastest street-legal car in the world. It is powered by a 6.5-liter aspirated V12 engine tailored by Cosworth, generating a power output of 1,130 hp. There were only 150 road cars been made of this model.

Initially, Koenigsegg intended only produce three units of the CCXR Trevita, however, as manufacturing a single unit cost so much to the maker that they later decided to limit the number to just two, making it even more exclusive to own. What made this super-luxury “a class” on its own are the features that include a unique double carbon rear wing, diamond weave carbon fiber finish, a tire monitoring system, and an Inconel exhaust system, carbon-ceramic brakes with ABS. Trevita has a top speed of 254 mph!

Manufactured by Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S, the Bugatti Divo is a mid-engine sports car developed with a track-focused approach. The car was named after the French racing driver Albert Divo, who won the Targa Florio race twice in the 1920s for Bugatti. Bugatti said that the DIVO is the most agile and dynamic car they’ve ever created. The production of Bugatti Divo was limited to 40 units. It was pre-sold to Chiron owners before the public debut through special invitation by the dealers. It was sold out on its first day of availability. The top speed of Bugatti Divo is 236 mph!

The Maybach Exelero is undoubtedly one hell of a high-performance four-seater sports car that comes with a V12 twin-turbo engine. This ultra-luxury brilliance was commissioned by a German subsidiary of Goodyear, Fulda, to test their new range of Carat Exelero tires. The Exelero was featured in one of Jay-Z’s music videos and was bought by rapper Birdman. Exelero has a remarkable top speed of 213 mph.

Outstanding artistry of automotive design and engineering, the Rolls-Royce Sweptail is a luxury piece crafted in the United Kingdom by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. It was commissioned in 2013 for a super-yacht and aircraft specialist, whose identity was not revealed by Rolls-Royce. At the yearly Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event in 2017, The Sweptail was introduced as the most expensive new car in the world. It crossed all its competitors and remains the most expensive cars ever made.
